All proceeds above the event expenses will be used to raise awareness, honor the fallen, and support the families of the fallen. One way that we do this is through the Arkansas Run for the Fallen traveling memorial that is set up in Arkansas communities throughout the year. The memorial consists of a flag and sign card honoring each service member who has died while serving since 9/11 and gives people a way to walk amongst the flags and read the biographies of these Arkansans who have given their lives for our freedom. We also provide scholarships for the graduating children of fallen service members, and special days for gold star children, siblings, spouses and families. Our major focus again this year will be to provide a camp experience for the children of Arkansas fallen service members. Providing a camp for these children gives them a way to connect with other children who understand the unique struggles of losing a parent while they were serving our country.

Sponsor funds are used to purchase American flags to be used along the route, water and nutritional supplies for the runners, shirts for gold star families, and overnight accommodations for the early morning run teams. The sponsors will be highlighted on a “Sponsors” page on the website and they will be prominently displayed on the back of the event T-shirts.
